The Oakwood CUSD 76 Board of Education took action on the following items during their meeting on September 19th:
- Approved the FY "19 Budget
- Approved an agreement with the Village of Oakwood for the use of a School Resource Officer
- Approved an out of state trip for the OHS Chorus / Band members to Orlando, Florida
- Hired the following
- Amiee Baumeister - OHS Yearbook Advisor
- Kenny Head - OJHS Part time Night Custodian
- Eric Fenton - OJHS 8th Grade Boy's Basketball Coach
- Jim Whittington - OHS Volunteer Asst. Bass Fishing Coach
- Cameron Lee - OHS Volunteer Asst. Football Coach
- Jeff Sheehan - OJHS 7th Grade Boy's Basketball Coach
- Dick Duval - OHS Long Term Sub in Algebra
- Adopted new/revised Board Policies
- Approved a revision to the Athletic Code
There was also discussion of allowing children of Oakwood CUSD 76 employees who do not live in district to be allowed to have their children attend Oakwood CUSD 76 tuition free. There was also discussion on the process to hire a new Superintendent for the 2019-2020 school year.
