Notice is hereby given by the Oakwood Community Unit School District No. 76 Board of Education, in the County of Vermilion, State of Illinois, that the Special Board Meeting for said School District for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2023, will be held conveniently at the Oakwood District Unit Office - Board Room, 12190 U.S. Rt. 150, Oakwood, IL 61858 at 5:30 p.m. on the 6th day of March 2024. Letter of Resignation with Notice of Intent to Retire from Larry Maynard, Superintendent. Effective at the end of the 2023-24 school year with the last day of service to the district on June 30, 2024.

5 ILCS 120/2(c)1: “To discuss the Superintendent Search process for July 1, 2024 employment.”
5 ILCS 120/2(c)2: “Collective negotiating matters between the District and its employees or their representatives, or deliberations concerning salary schedules for one or more employees.”
RETURN TO OPEN SESSION
CONSIDERATION AND ACTION ON:
To discuss the purchase of the Oakwood High School ADA Elevator Lift through the performance contractor Ameresco for the amount of approximately $233,000. The district will utilize $50,000 of the ISBE School Maintenance Grant that has been awarded for this specific project. The intent is for this project to be completed during the summer of 2024.
To enter into an agreement of services with the Illinois Association of School Boards to begin the Superintendent Search process for July 1, 2024 employment.”
