The OSF Cross Country team ran a shortened meet with Saint Joe, Tuscola and Armstrong yesterday evening at St Joe. The storms shortened the event to a mile and a half. Leading the boys was Eli Ronk in a time of 9:00. The girls were lead by Allie Morris with a time of 9:50.

IESA Member Schools Announcement: IESA Board unanimously approved to cancel the regular season and IESA state series in the sports of boys and girls golf, boys baseball, girls softball, and boys and girls cross-country for the 2020-21 school year. Girls softball practice was scheduled to start July 27. The baseball and cross-country seasons were scheduled to start August 3. The Board delayed any decision on girls basketball. The first day of girls basketball practice is scheduled for August 31. The Board will meet again in late August to make a decision regarding girls basketball.

This afternoon we received the Reopening Guidelines for the Fall from the Illinois State Board of Education. We will begin unpacking this 60 page document and our goal is to have a plan for the board of education's approval that will be communicated to our community July 16th.

Students riding the fan bus tomorrow to Pana will need to be at OHS at 9:45. You will not be allowed to ride the bus unless your name is on the sign up list. You must pay before the bus leaves if you have signed up. The cost is $11.00.
Fans going to Pana Saturday for the playoff game have the opportunity to tailgate at Pana High School. Tailgate area for Oakwood fans will open at 10:00 am. There will be food for purchase beginning at 10:45 am; no need to pack your grill.
The players bus will leave OHS at 8:45 am Saturday morning for their playoff game against Pana. Fans have a chance to give the Comets a send off by lining Oakwood Street from Casey's to McDonald's.
